I Only Died Twice – Press Release
“I Only Died Twice” was born out of my deep desire to collaborate with Jim Lowe, a composer and sound engineer who has worked with icons such as Stereophonics, Nick Cave or Taylor Swift.
“I Only Died Twice”, Uniting Elegance With Mystery, Glamour With Darkness
The brief was specific: a track in the vein of the legendary James Bond soundtracks. Refinement, sensuality, and a touch of mystery. Lowe's enchanting opening notes sparked Léger's vocal melody immediately. What emerged is an unexpected sonic alliance — elegance and darkness, glamour and shadow, held together in a single song. “I Only Died Twice” was recorded at the legendary London studio, RAK Studios.

WHY "TWICE"
The title nods to You Only Live Twice, but the meaning is personal. Léger has already radically transformed her life once. This song explores a love that compelled her to rebuild — a spiritual death, a rebirth, and a second death to rise again.
The lyrics, drawn from her own experience, reveal a love story between two opposites — a painful collision that leads to acceptance of the mysteries that make each person unique.
